Table for 100 please.

For the last week or so, I've been contemplating how I will showcase the all important escort cards and table numbers so everyone knows where to go and with whom they are sitting. Because we're outside on a roofdeck, we're fighting the element of wind, meaning if it's not nailed or weighted down, it's blowing around and littering the grounds [and we'll most likely get fined for it]. So laying tented cards out on a flat table isn't going to cut the mustard. My personal favorite is the bottom center picture above. Although it doesn't look like much, it's neat, simple, and won't take up much room (much less room than an entire table anyway). I've been looking for something that I can DIY, and I think this is perfect. Plus it means I get to go to Michaels and shop the paper aisle. The whole thing can be a giant corkboard with pins to hang the tags on. The first step is to choose tablemates.

  1. This is a fabulous idea! Another option is to put nails on the corkboard and hang the cards on the nails with bead chain. All you would have to do is make the cards and punch a hole in them and weave the chain through.
